Pasadena, CA, December 11 — Juanita Johnson has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that occurred on December 8 in Pasadena. Juanita Johnson, a 49-year-old local resident was driving a Kia Optima on Glenarm Street with three passengers, including an 18-month-old child. At about 8:30 p.m., the Kia was involved in a crash with an Audi S5 at the intersection of Glenarm and Fair Oaks Avenue. Both cars sustained damage in their front-ends so it appears the collision may have been head-on. Tragically, Juanita Johnson perished at the scene from her injuries. The driver of the Audi, described as a 36-year-old male Pasadena resident, reportedly suffered a broken leg. The three passengers in the Kia all were injured. The Pasadena Police Department is investigating the tragic crash and seeking out witnesses, though a DUI is not currently suspected, reports say.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Juanita Johnson during this very difficult time. Our thoughts also go out to the injured individuals, especially the injured child.
