Joshua Morgensen has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle accident that occurred on July 21 in the Contra Costa County city of Clayton. Authorities suspect a hit-and-run may have been involved in the tragic accident. Mr. Morgensen, a 28-year-old local resident, was riding on Concord Boulevard prior to 12:30 a.m., when he tried to pass a Toyota Prius. A collision resulted that caused the motorcyclist to enter opposing traffic where he was struck by a pickup truck heading west.
