Jorge Zamudio Morales has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred on the morning of October 22 in Santa Rosa. Mr. Morales, 44, was riding a motorcycle on Farmers Lane, aka Highway 12 at about 6:30 a.m when a Ford Focus allegedly turned in front of him at the intersection with Hoen Avenue. The driver of the Ford was John Waco, a 68-year-old resident of San Luis Obispo. Mr. Morales was ejected from the bike and suffered serious injuries causing him to die at the scene. A DUI appears to be not suspected in the crash at this time, but authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
