Joey Trianders Allen has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI wrong-way collision that occurred on February 16 in West Los Angeles. Marco Abrego, a 42-year-old Northridge resident has been arrested on multiple charges in the death of Mr. Allen, including murder. Authorities allege that Mr. Abrego was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck southbound in the northbound lane 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive while under the influence of alcohol prior to 2:30 am.. The result was a deadly head-on collision with a Jaguar S that was being driven by Mr. Allen, a 43-year-old resident of Lancaster. Mr. Allen died at the scene from his injuries. Mr. Abrego, reports say, refused a test to determine the level of alleged intoxication. Reports say the man has pled not guilty on all of the charges is being held pending a hearing in March.
