A 33-year-old man died after an alleged hit-and-run collision on South Shafter Avenue between Elizabeth Avenue and Riverside Street.
Shafter, CA, January 27, 2022– Jesus Eusebio Sanchez has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on January 25 in Shafter. 33-year-old Jesus Sanchez was reportedly killed in a collision that occurred prior to 6:00 p.m. on South Shafter Avenue between Elizabeth Avenue and Riverside Street. First-responders arrived but Jesus Sanchez tragically died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that killed the victim allegedly fled the scene before first-responders arrived. Few other details have been provided but the Shafter Police Department is asking for the help of any witnesses as the investigation continues.
