Eloina Arango, Petra Arango, Rufina Rodriguez, have been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged DUI accident in Oceanside. The three women, aged 56, 40, and 74 respectively, were three of five passengers in a 2003 Mazda 6 on South Coast Highway. Mason Fish, a 19-year-old Oceanside resident is alleged to have run a red light while driving a pickup truck under the influence of drugs. The incident occurred on February 5 shortly before1:00 p.m. Eloina Arango and Rufina Rodriguez, who were in the backside, reportedly died at the scene. Petra Arango and an unnamed 13-year-old girl were reportedly thrown from the vehicle and might not have been wearing seatbelts. Both were rushed to the hospital. Ms. Arango died later despite efforts to save her life. The girl was taken to an area children’s hospital. Mr. Fish was charged with DUI.
