Jason Gordon has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that took place in the Sherman Heights neighborhood of San Diego on January 19. Mr. Gordon, a 41-year-old San Diego resident, was on Market Street in the first lane when a GMC Envoy shortly before 2:00 a.m. when the SUV hit the man, dragging him roughly 100 feet further before the victim became disengaged. He died at the scene. The alleged driver of the SUV, 28-year-old Christopher Nunez, allegedly fled the scene of the tragedy but also reportedly stopped for food at a local taqueria. The suspect was located and booked on multiple felony charges. An investigation into the deadly accident continues as the San Diego Police Department is seeking out witnesses.
