Joshua Lemusu has been arrested on multiple charges; DUI and hit-and-run alleged.
Long Beach, CA, December 4, 2020 — Jackson Allender has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on December in Long Beach. Joshua Lemusu has been arrested in connection with the tragic incident. Jackson Allender, a 32-year-old local resident, was attempting to cross at Pacific Coast Highway near Lewis Avenue at approximately 7:15 p.m. when he was struck by a 2003 Mercury heading heading eastward on PCH. Authorities allege that the driver, 30-year-old Long Beach resident Joshua Lemusu, continued driving, fleeing the scene. First-responders allegedly found the victim lying on the street. He died at the scene. Members of the Long Beach Police Department located the driver and arrested him on charges that include DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. The investigation continues as the suspect is being held on $100,000 bail.
