Howard Timpke has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision involving two cars that occurred on May 13 in Victorville. Mr. Timpke, an 83-year-old local resident, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord southward on Amargosa Road prior to 2:00 p.m. Mr. Timpke was reportedly going driving through the intersection with Mojave Drive when a Ford SUV, which had been traveling in the opposite direction, reportedly tried to make a left turn in front of the car, when the two vehicles collided. Mr. Timpke was one of a number of people who treated for injuries, but he was shortly declared deceased at an area hospital. The incident is under investigation and witnesses are being sought by Victorville police.
