Baker, CA, December 2, 2020 — Heidi Cai has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a two-car collision that occurred on December 1 in Baker. Heidi Cai, a 56-year-old resident of Las Vegas, was involved in a traffic accident that occurred on the I-15 south prior to 5:45 a.m. Sources indicate that one vehicle rear-ended another. Heidi Cai was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was thrown from the car into the center divider of the road. According to a San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department coroner’s report, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:12 a.m. after unsuccessful attempts by first-responders to revive the woman. Meanwhile, the two drivers of the vehicles were injured and take for treatment in hospitals in the Las Vegas area. The California Highway Patrol in Barstow is investigating the fatal crash.
