Hector Carrillo Killed in Huntington Beach Bicycle Accident

Hector Carrillo has been identified by authorities as the victim in a bicycle collision that occurred on March 6 in Huntington Beach. Mr. Carrillo, 62 and described as a transient, was rising a bicycle at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) when he apparently moved into the opoosing lane and was struck by a Honda CR-V. Mr. Carillo reportedly suffered severe head trauma and died at the scene. The driver of the SUV, a 72-year-old Huntington Beach resident remained at the scene and spoke to authorities. The tragic incident is being investigated by the Huntington Beach Police Department.
