Gretchen Elliott has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on January 22 in Vallejo. Ms. Elliot, a 23-year-old woman who may or may not have been homeless, was walking on Lewis Brown Drive shortly before 7:00 p.m. when she was hit by a Kia Soul. The driver, a 52-year-old resident of Vallejo, reportedly stopped and cooperated with investigators. Ms. Elliot was taken to a hospital by first-responders, but she died shortly afterward. The cause of the tragic incident is currently under investigation.
