Glen Lee Summers Dead After Oildale Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident

Glen Lee Summers has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in Oildale in Kern County on October 26. Mr. Summers, 63, was reportedly walking on Roberts Lane near its intersection with Higgins Drive when a vehicle struck him under unknown circumstances. The driver of the vehicle, reportedly a tan SUV, a Nissan Armada, apparently failed to stop at the scene and drove away from the scene. First-responders arrived and took the man to Kern Medical Center, but he passed away from his injuries the following week on November 3. Witnesses to the alleged hit-and-run are being sought by the Bakersfield California Highway Patrol.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
