Gerald Boyer has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on March 16 in San Jose. Mr. Boyer a 47-year-old transient, was apparently struck at the crossing of McLaughlin Avenue and Story Road some time prior to 8:40 p.m. when the incident was reported. The man died at the scene while the driver involved left the scene. The San Jose Police Department is investigating the apparent crime and seeking witnesses.
