Felipe Parra and Danny Torres have been identified by authorities as the victims in a pedestrian accident that occurred on September 24 in South Los Angeles. Adolfo Flores Jr. is suspected. Mr. Parra, 27, and Mr. Torres, 21, were both Los Angeles residents. The two young men were crossing Normandie Avenue prior to 8:30 p.m. when they were struck by a 1990 Mercedes that was allegedly speeding southward in the Westmont neighborhood. The California Highway Patrol alleges that the driver of the car, who has been identified as Mr. Flores via the license that was left at the scene, continued to drive and did nothing to help to two young men. One of the victims died at the scene and other passed on in the hospital. The CHP is investigating the tragic accident and attempting to locate Mr. Flores.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims during this difficult time.
