A man and a woman received minor injuries.
Bakersfield, CA, November 6, 2020 — Elias Samarripas has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision involving two trucks that occurred on November 4 in the southeastern portion of Bakersfield. Elias Samarripas, 72-years-old was driving his truck at of Hosking Avenue and Hughes Lane around 11:00 p.m. when he collided with another vehicle at the crossing of the two streets. Samarripas tragically died at the scene while two individuals in the other vehicle, a female and a male, received injuries described as minor and were taken for treatment by first-responders. Little other information has been provided about but the Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the fatal crash.
