Humboldt County, CA, January 26, 2022 — Dwayne Faughn has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a devastatating mutltivehicle collision that occurred on January 24 in Humboldt Couty. Dwayne Faughn, a 49-year-old Samoa resident, was driving an older model Lexus that reportedly collided head-on with a Jeep on on Highway 255 near Startare Drive at 8:54 p.m. Later a Ford reportedly collided with the two stationary vehicles. Paramedics arrived but Dwayne Faughn tragically died at the scene. Four people were taken for treatment at St. Joseph Hospital including a six-year-old occupant of the Lexus, the driver of the Ford, 23-year-old Austin Vargas, and two people inside the Jeep, 24-year-old Luz Garciasilva, and Jacqueline Garciasilva, 22. The California Highway Patrol in Humboldt County is reportedly investigating the devastating three-vehicle collision.
