Douglas Binninger Killed in Desert Hot Springs Car Accident; DUI Charged

Douglas Binninger, 64 has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that occurred on April 16  in Desert Hot Springs. Mr. Binninger was a passenger in a Hyundai driven by Ingeborg J. Binninger, 67. Authorities allege that she veered into the path of a 2014 Nissan. The occupants of the Nissan, an 18 and 20-year old woman, suffered serious injuries while Douglas Binninger died at the scened. Ms. Binninger was arrested on a DUI charge and taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries. Authorities note that everyone involved in the accident was wearing seatbelts at the time of the apparent head-on collision.
