Derrel Gollihugh has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run motorcycle accident that occurred on June 30 in the Orange County city of Huntington Beach. Mr. Gollihugh, a 26-year-old Long Beach resident, collided with a Toyota Solara. The driver of the car, 47-year-old Monrovia resident Julien Cesar Solorzano, allegedly fled the scene of the accident but was later captured. Meanwhile, Mr. Gollihugh had been taken to UC Irvine Medical Center by first-responder but perished from her injuries. Mr. Solarzano has been arrested and held while Huntington Beach police investigate the tragedy.
