Dayvon Fletcher McCoy, 15, has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim an alleged DUI pedestrian collision that took that took place in Fresno on November 5. The young man and a friend, age 14, was walking northward on Valentine Avenue at about 6:00 p.m. when a Ford pickup truck driven by 54-year-old Albert Isaac Fimbrez struck both of the youngsters. The young man was taken for treatment to an area hospital but died from his injuries sometime later. The other youth reportedly suffered injuries that have not been described. The driver of the pickup, Mr. Fimbrez stopped at the scene with some mild injuries. Police determined that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the tragedy. The man was charged with murder due to multiple past convictions and driving on a revoked license.
