Sylmar, CA November 5, 2020 – David Lopez has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred on November 1 in Sylmar. David Lopez, a 54-year-old local resident was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson on the Angeles Forest Highway north near Vincent View Road at about 1:15 p.m. At the same time, Michael Deangelis, a 55-year-old resident of Littlerock, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck heading south. Authorities allege that the driver moved into the opposite lane of traffic, leading to a head-on collision with the Harley Davidson. David Lopez died from his injuries while the pickup driver was taken for treatment with minor injuries. A DUI is not suspected but the cause of the tragic accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
