David Lawson has been identified by authorities as the victim in a possible hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred August 10 in Modesto. Mr. Lawson, 41, was State Route 99 prior to 2:52 a.m. when he was struck by two vehicles. First-responders declared the man dead at the scene. The first driver fled the scene but the second motorist, who was driving a late 1990s Ford Mustang stopped and cooperated with authorities. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the tragic incident.
