David Davis Killed in Means Dry Lake Rollover Jeep Accident

David Davis has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a rollover crash that occurred at Means Dry Lake in San Bernardino County on October 4. Mr. Davis, a 29-year-old Yucca Valley resident, was driving Jeep Grand Cherokee prior to 11:40 p.m. when the vehicle hit a beam, causing the vehicle to rollover a number of times. Mr. Davis was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. A passenger, 20-year-old Joshua Tree resident Tyler Brooks, who was wearing a seatbelt was not seriously injured. It was one of two fatal vehicle accidents that happened the night before the annual Desert Run fundraider. The incident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
