vDavid Alan Brown has been identified by authorities as the deceased victim in a multi-vehicle collision that took place in Saratoga on August 12. Mr. Brown, a 75-year-old local resident, was an occupant of a Tesla driving on Highway 85 when it reportedly rear-ended a Toyota Sienna minivan. It then continued to drive and collided with a pickup truck, causing the Tesla to catch fire. Several individuals were either rushed to the hospital or treated at the scene. Mr. Brown apparently died at the hospital while two other people with reportedly very serious injuries remained hospitalized. Santa Clara County Sheriff’s are investigating the accident and seeking out witnesses.
