Dannon Santiago has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run bicycle accident that occurred July 26 in Long Beach. Mr. Santiago, a 30-year-old local resident, was apparently riding a bicycle at about 3:30 a.m. on Orange Avenue near its intersection with Del Amo Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle under circumstance that have not been described. The Long Beach man sadly died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle apparently fled the scene without attempting to provide aid. The Long Beach Police Department is investigating the case and seeking out witnesses.
