Daniel Robinson has been identified by authorities as the victim in a bicycle vs. SUV collision that occurred in Santa Barbara on July 5. Mr. Robinson, described as 54-year-old transient, a bicycle at intersection of Modoc Road and Encore Drive, reportedly outside of a bike lane. A Ford Explorer SUV driven by 48-year-old local resident Monique Martinez collided with the bicycle. Mr. Robinson was thrown from his bike and was not wearing a helmet. He died at the scene from his injuries. Authories say that a DUI is not suspected, but an investigation is ongoing.
