Nanci Perea Rosales Killed in Santa Ana Pedestrian Collision
Jesus Rios, a 33-year-old Downey resident, has been arrested on multiple charges in the collision which killed two and severely injured a third person.
Hemet, CA, December 14, 2020 — Emily Hale and Dane Adkins-Radford have been identified by authorities as the two deceased victims in an alleged DUI and attempted hit-and-run auto collision that occurred on December 12 in Hemet. Reports indicate that Dane Adkins-Radford and Emily Hale, both 21-year-old local residents, were two of three occupants of a Honda Fit hatchback that was waiting at a stop light at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Kirby Street at about 4:00 a.m. Authorities allege that a BMW 535i being driven east ran by Jesus Rios, age 33 and a resident of Downey, ran through the red light and collided with the hatchback crushing much of the rear of the vehicle. First responders arrived and found Dane Adkins-Radford dead at the scene. Emily Hale was taken to Riverside University Health System Medical Center where she tragically died from her injuries. The third victim was also hospitalized with serious injuries. Meanwhile, police allege that Jesus Rios attempted to flee the scene but was detained by a witness to the accident. He was arrested by the Hemet Police Department on charges that included DUI, vehicular homicide, and attempted hit-and-run and was held on $1 million bail. The horrific accident remains under investigation
