
Several other individuals, including a San Diego police officer, were injured in the tragic collision that killed a young mother of two.
San Diego, CA, December 2, 2020– Damariz Rosas-Avilez has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a two-car collision that occurred on November 25 in the San Ysidro section of San Diego. Damariz Rosas, a 22-year-old a married mother of one child, was driving on Interstate 5 between Dairy Mart Road and Via de San Ysidro South at about 4:20 p.m. At that point, she collided with a stopped vehicle in front of her for reasons that had not been provided. First-responders and arrived and took the very severely injured woman to UCSD Medical Center where she died shortly afterward. Others were injured in the crash, including an office of the San Diego Police Department. An investigation is ongoing.
