Cristian Mendez Ramos has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run bicycle accident that occurred on July 20 in Los Angeles near the city’s famed Exposition Park. Details are scant but the 24-year-old man was riding his bicycle along with his girlfriend at the crossing of Jefferson Boulevard and Denker Avenue when his bicycle was struck by a vehicle described as a sedan, dark in color. The girlfriend, who was not struck, said the car was speeding down Jefferson. First-respoinder arrived and took the young man to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. Witnesses and anonymous tips are being sought by the Los Angeles Police Department.
