Christopher Goldman has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a traffic collision that occurred on May 5 in Long Beach. Mr. Goldman, a 26-year-old local resident, was driving in a late 1990s model Toyota Camry when he attempted to turn from Rhea Street east onto Atlantic Avenue north when Lexus E350 collided with his vehicle, killing the young man. The driver of the Lexus, 42, is not suspected of a DUI but distraction cannot currently be ruled out, say authorities. Witnesses are being sought in the tragic accident.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
