Cassie McClure has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on January 24 in Placerville. Ms. McClure, a 94-year-old Cameron Park resident, was crossing Topaz Lane shortly before 1:20 p.m. when a Toyota Tundra pickup truck hit her. Ms. McClure was taken to Mercy Folsom Hospital, where she later passed away. The driver of the pickup, Gracie Silva, 64, reportedly remained at the scene. The tragic incident is currently under investigation.
