Carlos Javier Saavedra has been identified by authorities as the victim a hit-and-run pedestrian collision that took that took place in Baldwin Park on November 6. Mr. Saavedra, a 31-year-old man described as a transient, was at Pacific Avenue near Vineland Avenue when he was struck by a passing vehicle for an unknown reason. Since the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene, an investigation is ongoing to find the driver and witnesses are being sought by the Baldwin Park Police Department.
