Carla Becerra has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that took place in Norwalk on February 1. Ms. Becerra, a 31-year-old resident of Lakewood, was found near the San Gabriel River badly injured and close to her motorcycle. She was taken to an area hospital but died later from her injuries. On February 13, police located Brandon James Lindsley, age 29, and arrested him on hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges, alleging that he had hit the woman and fled the scene without attempting to help her. Authorities also say that Mr. Lindsley had an arrest warrant on him prior to the tragic collision.
Our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
