Bruce Romans has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that took place in San Francisco on August 4. Mr. Romans was apparently in the crossing of Arelious Walker Drive and Carroll Avenue in the Bayview District when he was struck by a vehicle that authorities say did not stop and the driver did not attempt to help in any way. First responders found Mr. Romans, 59, lying in the street. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died not long afterward. The San Francisco Police Department is seeking witnesses to the tragedy.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
