Benjie Gomez has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision involving a big-rig truck that occurred on August 2 in San Jose. Mr. Gomez, a 47-year-old local, was involved in a collision on the I-880 near the 101. The exact circumstances of the accident have not been provided but the motorcyclist was found lying in the road and taken to a medical center by first responders but he sadly died not long afterwards.  The truck reportedly stopped and was cooperative with authorities. Nevertheless, the California Highway Patrol in San Jose is investigating and seeking out witnesses.
