Los Angeles, CA, September 30, 2021 — Assane Drame has been identified by authorities as the victim in a freeway collision that occurred on September 27 in Downtown Los Angeles. Assane Drame, a 26-year-old video producer for the Los Angeles Clippers originally from New Jersey, was driving West on the 10 Freeway near West Washington Boulevard. Reports indicate that, at roughly 11:40 p.m., the young man had pulled over to the side of the freeway where the car was struck by another vehicle. First responders arrived and the young man tragically died at the scene. A missing persons report was initially filed by his family after they were contacted by the Clippers’ HR department when their son did not report to work. Few other details on the tragic crash have been provided but reports say that an investigation is ongoing.
