Ashley Kay and an Unnamed Male Dead in Lakeside Chain Reaction Accident

Ashley Kay, a 21 year-old El Cajon resident, and an unnamed 53 year-old male died in a Lakeside accident that occurred around 6:30 a.m. on September 27, say authorities.  The accident reportedly began when a 1992 Honda automobile veered out of its lane at a high speed; an attempted evasive maneuver caused the car to move into the path of a 2013 Porsche SUV. The force of the blow reportedly split the Honda in two and caused the two passengers to be ejected from the car, despite wearing seatbelts. Ms. Kay was taken by air to an area hospital but was pronounced dead. The male died at the scene of the collision. An investigation is underway.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims during this difficult time.
