Anthony Harris has been identified by authorities the victim in an alleged DUI solo SUV crash that occurred on July 4 on Mount Hamilton in Santa Clara County. Mr. Harris, 52, was a passenger in a Range Rover Velar being driven by Ms. Phillips on Mount Hamilton Road after possibly spending time at an area restaurant. The car drove off the road and into an embankment about 150 feet below. Because of the remote location, it nearly roughly half an hour for first responders to arrive. When they did, they found Mr. Harris imprisoned in the wreckage but he was dead by the time they removed him. Ms. Phillips was arrested on charges of felony vehicular manslaughter. She is believed to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
