Annika Fullerton has been identified by authorities as the young victim in a pedestrian accident that occurred on June 29 in Highland. The child, an 11-year-old resident of Denver, Colorado was out walking with two of her cousins in the vicinity of Church Street and Glenheather Drive at approximately 8:30 p.m. when reports indicate a vehicle described as an SUV, dark in color, heading southward on Church Street struck the girl and did not stop or attempt to help. The child was found gravely injured and was taken for treatment by first-responders but died from her injuries. The Highland Police Department is investigating the tragic incident and seeking out witnesses.
