Ana Maria Manzo has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision which occurred in North Hollywood on March 26. Ms. Manzo, a 70-year-old Van Nuys resident, was reportedly waiting at the corner of Vineland Avenue and Victory Boulevard after 3:00 in the afternoon when a BMW collided with another vehicle, and went off the road onto a CVS parking area, where it crashed into a parked car and then somehow went back onto the sidewalk and ran over Ms. Manzo, who died after being rushed to the hospital by first-responders. Another woman, who was in the other vehicle in traffic, also reportedly suffered injuries. Police say that they believe a DUI may have been involved in the case, which they are investigating.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
