Amos Toy has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an accident involving two pickup trucks that took place in Bakersfield on January 27. Mr. Toy, an 80-year-old local resident, was heading westward on Hermosa Road in a pickup truck when he reportedly drove through a stop sign at the intersection with Edison Road at the same time another pickup, a Ford F-150 was driving through on Edison at roughly 3:30 p.m.. The California Highway Patrol says that Mr. Toy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was partially ejected from his truck. No information has been released on the driver of the F-150. An investigation appears to be ongoing.
