Altheia Taylor has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian accident that occurred July 14 in Boulder Creek. Ms. Taylor, a 57-year-old local resident, was reportedly pushing a shopping cart on Riverside Avenue at about 3:40 a.m. in the righthand side of the road near Locust Avenue and was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The woman was taken for treatment to an area hospital but unfortunately died from her injuries. The driver of the Jeep reportedly remained at the scene of the accident but an investigation is ongoing.
