Alona Prescott has been identified by authorities as the victim in pedestrian collision that occurred August 7 in Long Beach. Ms. Prescott, a 22-year-old local resident, was walking at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Oregon Avenue at 5:40 p.m., authorities say outside of the crosswalk, when she was struck by a Honda Civic. The driver of the car reportedly remained at scene. Ms. Prescott was taken by first responders. Sadly, she passed-away from her injuries on week late on August 14. While drugs and alcohol are reportedly not suspected, Long Beach police are investigating the accident and seeking out witnesses.
