Alexavier Paul Gonzalez-Padilla, age 2, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in San Jose on November 17. The toddler was with his family who were in the process of getting into their car when he ran out between two parked cars just prior to 2:40 p.m near the intersection of Banff Street and Danube Way. Tragically, a Dodge pickup was turning onto the street at the time, striking the child. The boy was taken to a hospital by first-responder, but very sadly died not long afterwards. The driver of the pickup truck stopped at the scene and spoke with authorities. The San Jose Police Department is seeking witnesses to the tragedy.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim during this difficult time.
