Abel Valdez, Carmela Camacho, 2 Children, Dead Escondido Accident

Abel Valdez, 33, Carmela Camacho, 50, and her two grandchildren, Yovanny Felix, 10, and Emmanuel Riva, 11 have been identified by authorities as the victims in a pedestrian collision that occurred on May 5 in Escondido. The four were on San Pasqual Valley Road prior to 8:30 p.m. when they were struck by a Mazda 3 for reasons that have not given. The victims were taken by first-responders to Palomar Medical Center, but all four victims tragicallyl passed away from their injuries. The driver of the Mazda, a 28-year-old local resident, received minor injuries. The heartbreaking incident is being investigated.
