Aaron Wade Kangas has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on January 22 in Humboldt County. Mr. Kangas, a 56-year-old Eureka resident, was walking on the 101 Highway when he was struck by a number of vehicles, including an 18 wheel big-rig. He perished from his injuries at the scene. The tragic incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
